I Hate You...I Think Read online

"No, it's not. We'll only get in trouble if someone from school finds out. You wouldn't tell them, Everlyn, would you?" He asked in a seductive voice. I frowned and smacked his hand away. I know what he's up to. If he thinks he's going to get lucky, he has another thing coming freaking pervert of a teacher.

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes and started to move away from him. He grabbed my arm pulling me back against him. I tried to pull away but instead he spun me around and pulled our bodies closer.

"I'm not going to try anything, Ever. I just think you’re a beautiful dancer. I'm quite impressed. Would you please do me the honor of dancing with me?" His face seemed sincere. I was taken aback. What is up with him? One minute he's a smirking idiot, then the next he's all sweet and charming.

I stared at him a moment unsure. He just smiled and started dancing with me. I was a bit baffled by his sudden mood change but it was quickly replaced with awe. He really knows his stuff. Ignoring the fact he was my teacher.

After a moment I couldn't help but let the music take me captive once again. My back pressed against Oliver's chest, his hands on my waist. My heart was racing, and adrenaline was running through my veins. Oliver and I danced for a while. I noticed a few people had stopped to watch as we twisted and he spun me, our bodies in perfect harmony. We were both breathing heavy, sweat clung to my brow. My feet ached from standing in the heels for so long.

"Maybe, we should take a break," Oliver gasped breathlessly into my ear.

"I'll buy you a drink," he added. I nodded and he took my hand into his and led me from the dance floor swiftly. A few bimbos pressed against him and he waved them off. I smirked as he did this, but I wasn't sure why. Why had it made me happy that I was the only one he wanted anything to do with. Oliver was a very strange guy, to be honest. With the mood swings, I found myself wanting to get to know him more. I bite my lip at that thought. He is still my teacher. It is illegal, I think. Well, it is immoral, and wrong.

We made it to the other side of the club were the tables were. Kimmy was nowhere in sight. I'm sure some other guy caught her attention. At least I hope so, I thought looking Oliver over. He was in a black button up shirt that was partly unbuttoned where you could see his smooth chest, and dark baggy pants.

"Like what you see?" he commented. I jerked my head up; he was looking down at me with that smirk again. My face started burning. How long had he been watching me check him out?

"No," I lied and smacked his arm.

"You’re a violent little thing," he remarked.

"Not usually," I shrugged. We stopped at an empty table and he gestured for me to slide into the bench. I did.

"What would you like to drink?" He asked not sitting.

"Whatever you get me is fine," I told him, then thought about that a moment. "Wait!' I told him as he started to leave.

  He stopped and turned.

"If you drug my drink I will kick your ass," I threatened. He looked offended.

"I'm not like that, Ever. I assure you," He replied very strictly. I nodded with a smile. Good, he better not be.

  "I'll be right back."

He turned and headed off toward the bar. I watched him go. Blushing, again I realized I had been checking out his butt. Bad, Everlyn! I mentally slapped myself. Oliver was at the bar a moment ordering drinks.

Another guy suddenly came up to him and whispered something in his ear. Oliver's face turned livid. A few people who had been looking at him turned abruptly away. The look on his face even frightened me. Oliver didn't even glance in my direction as he followed the other guy off to the side. Curiosity got the better of me and I jumped up to follow him, cursing myself all the way there.

Looking around I couldn't find them. They must have gone out the back door. Frowning, I stared at it a moment debating whether to go out or not. What if I couldn't get back in? What if they were standing outside the door though? Sighing, I pushed the thought away, hell you only live once...and then you die. Let's hope that's not tonight.

Pushing the door open quickly before anyone seen I stepped into the dark alley letting the door close behind me. Looking around I saw nothing. Great, I mentally grumbled to myself. They must not have come out here. I bet he's inside looking for me, while I stand out here like a fool.

I tried the door. It was locked just as I thought it would be. I could text Kimmy to come open it for me, or walk around and get in line again. It's best to do that. I don't want to get caught sneaking in and be thrown out forever. A loud bang caused me to jump about ten foot in the air. I spun around looking down the alley. The sound had come from around the corner.

I stepped lightly toward the corner listening intently. I could hear voices. Angry voices at that, then an odd smacking sound. Yelling erupted. I peeked around the corner to see a group of guy fighting one another, Oliver being one of them. Him and some guy were throwing fists, a few collided but most of them the other dodged. An arm snaked around my waist and jerked me back clamping a hand over my mouth.

"What do we have here?" A man whispered into my ear. I struggled kicking at him.

He just laughing and lifted me off the ground, my feet were dangling. He proceeded to carry me around the corner, as I struggled. His grip tightened on my ribs, crushing my lungs.

The men had stopped fighting. Four stood on one side, one being the guy Oliver had fought he was in the center with the others around him. He must be the ring leader. Oliver and two other guys stood next to him. They were glaring at one another until we turned the corner.

"Look what I found," the guy holding me mused. Oliver's face went pale at the sight of me.

"She's pretty hot," the ring leader of the other group smirked. "She gets to watch the show."

"There isn't going to be any show, Jason. You’re on our territory. Get the hell gone now," Oliver threatened giving the ring leader of the other group the most evil look I have ever seen.

"Ehh....I'm bored of you anyways. We have a new toy now," Jason grinned looking over at me. I cringed at the look in his face and struggled once again to get free of the giant ogre holding me. He had to be well over six feet tall. I couldn't reach the ground at all. His arms were like iron bars across my chest. He was about to break me in half.

"You aren't taking her," Oliver snarled. About that time a few more guys came walking up the alley ahead of me, every one of them with a weapon in hand, bats, chains, knifes. Holy crap, what have I gotten myself into!

Jason looked at the new group his eye brows pulling together in frustration.

"Let her down," he barked. I was dropped instantly. I stumbled forward in my heels. Oliver made a swift gesture to me to come to his side. I didn't say anything but hurried to him. He grabbed my arm jerking me behind him. I placed my hand on his back to steady myself as I held my ribs. The guy to my left gave me a goofy grin. I returned it with a half-smile.

Jason was watching intently. He smirked at Oliver.

"Found a new love interest?" Jason laughed darkly. Oliver was ridged his face hard and his eyes unfriendly.

"You've got three seconds to get off my territory," he growled. Jason held up his hands in defeat, still smirking. They started walking the opposite direction of the group of guys who seemed to be blocking the whole right side of the alley.

"Have fun tonight bumping that hot piece of ass. But, come this weekend, I'm going to beat your face in at the tournament and take her from you," Jason winked at me. Oliver pushed me further behind him. My face was bright red. That guy thought Oliver and I were together. No one moved till Jason and his gang was a good ways down the alley. Oliver spun around looking at me furiously. I took a step back hitting the wall.

"What were you thinking?" He almost yelled. I blinked at him and gulped. His anger frightened me to no end.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. The other guys in the alley had moved in closer to look at me. I felt trapped. Hell, I was trapped. What are they going to do to me now? They started at me half amused half worried. They all were wearing bl
ack clothing, a few with exotic hair styles.

Oliver let out an annoyed sigh and shut his eyes rubbing his forehead.

"Logan, Eien, go make sure Jason got the hell out of here," Oliver ordered. Two guys behind him moved away quickly. They headed down the alley in the direction Jason had gone.

"What we going to do about her?" The guy to his left asked. He smiled at me like before.

"Nothing," Oliver muttered opening his eyes to look at me.

"Are you hurt, Everlyn?" He asked. I shook my head no, my arms crossed over my stomach pressing myself against the wall.

"You’re lucky you know that," he scolded. "Why the hell would you just follow me like that? Are you stupid?"

"No, I'm not!" I snarled. I'm not stupid, a little curious for my own good but NOT stupid. The remaining guys in the alley laughed. I frowned at them.

"You’re not going to tell anyone about this," he told me in a hard tone. No one would believe me, even if I did.

I just nodded. He raised an eye brow at me.

"I won't," I told him. After all he did save me, technically. He could have let them take me.

"I'll make sure of that," he assured. The two guys he had sent were walking back down the alley. Oliver looked up at them expectantly.

"He's gone," one informed. Oliver gave a brief nod.

"You should go back in the club, Ever," he told me.

"I have to wait in line again," I groaned. He chuckled for a moment.

"She could come with us," The guy the left offered.

"No," Oliver frowned. "She's seen enough. I'd rather her not get involved in this."

"A bit late for that," the same guy replied. Oliver waved his hand at the guy.

"I'm taking her back inside. I'll see you later."

With that Oliver took my arm and pulled me down the alley back to the club.

"Later girly," the dude called. I glanced back and waved. He grinned as did the other guys. We turned the corner out of sight. Oliver led me to the back door.

"It's locked," I told him. He didn't say anything pulling something out of his pocket. It was a key, he opened the door. The music was deafening.

"Oliver, I'm sorry," I muttered looking down at my feet. I felt like I should apologize and I didn't know why. I honestly don't know what I was thinking going after him. It was stupid.

"You can't tell anyone about this, do you understand," he told me frowning. I nodded.

"I mean it; if anyone gets involved with this it could be bad for them. Someone could get hurt, like you almost did," Oliver insisted.

"I know, and you'll get in trouble too," I frowned.

"Good night, Everlyn," Oliver said softly. I smiled and turned to go into the club. Oliver grabbed my arm gently.

"How about I buy you a drink next time," he smirked. I couldn't help but smile. He placed his hand on my back and pushed me inside the club. I turned and watched him close it behind me. Well, this has been a strange night.

  Chapter Three

It was chilly outside as I made my way to school. Kimmy hadn't even realized I had been missing last night. She got over Oliver pretty quick and moved on to some other guy. I had yet to tell her about what happened. A part of me wanted to but another part told me it probably wasn't a good idea.

Oliver had said if anyone got involved things could be bad. For no only him but us as well, and I don't want Oliver to get in trouble. As crazy as that sounds. Kimmy really didn't need to get involved in whatever the hell is going on. I don't even want to be involved. Why did I have to be so curious? I could have got in a lot of trouble.

Grumbling to myself I made my way to the Cafe in Harmon hall. I need my coffee. As I stepped into the Cafe the smell of roasted coffee hit me. I inhaled happily. I gave the Cafe a once over and found Oliver, or should I say Mr. Wolfe, sitting in the corner.

He looked up to see who entered and his eyes met mine. I looked away quickly and went to the counter and ordered my Cafe Mocha. The girl made it quickly and handed it to me. I took my first sip. Yum! I headed over to a table as far away from Oliver as possible. Plopping down in a chair I pulled out my book and started reading.

"Good morning, Miss Fox," Oliver greeted in a professional manner. I just nodded. "I was wondering if I could have a word with you about what we talked about yesterday."

He gave a polite smile but I could see in his eyes that he wanted to make sure I hadn’t told anyone about last night.

"I'm sorry I don't recall having any conversation with you sir," I told him in and innocent voice. He looked at me a moment.

"Oh, perhaps it was someone else. I'm very sorry to bother you," he frowned at me and exited the Cafe. I sat there a few more moments. I just want to forget last night even happened. I don't want to know what's going on or have any part of it. I would have to face him sooner or later.

My first two classes went by quickly today. I was anxious about having Oliver in class today. It was still a bit cold out. I wrapped my jacket tighter to my body as I trudged across the court yard to the English building. At least he won't talk to me with other students in class. Hesitating a moment, I opened the classroom door and stepped in. Oliver stood at the front of the room with a few people around his desk. They looked up as I opened the door. I recognized them as a few of the guys from last night.

"Everlyn, I'm glad you’re early, we need to talk," Oliver told me stepping around his desk.

"Actually, I just remembered I have somewhere else to be," I told him and turned on my heels to leave.

"Stop!" He ordered in a hard voice. I froze cursing at myself. I could just open the door and run. The door opened before me and students stared to enter. I stepped out of there way and glanced back at Oliver. He gave a forced smile at the students.

I turned walking past him and his friends to my desk. The nice guy from last night smiled at me shaking his head. I slide into my seat and faced the front giving a polite smile. Oliver didn't look pleased at all. The guys clustered around his desk said goodbye and left. The guy who had smiled at me waved as he exited the room.

Class drug by and Oliver's mood changed slowly. He was back to his happy self. When the end of class came he smiled sweetly at everyone.

"That will be all for today," He told us. Everyone stood and stretched then started heading for the door. I shoved my stuff in my bag and jumped up to follow them.

"Miss Fox, will you stay a moment?" He asked politely, just as I got in front of his desk. I stopped.

"Ever? You don't mind me calling you that do you?" Oliver asked once all the students had left.

"I think you better stick to the more formal approach, Mr. Wolfe," I replied.

He smirked. "Of course, Miss Fox."

"Is there something you needed?" I asked impatiently. I wanted to get away from him. I didn't have a class later today but I didn't want to stay in here with him.

"I was just going to ask if you were going out again," he smiled politely.

  "Why?" I asked suspiciously.

"Well, I do owe you a drink, don't I?" He smirked.

"Don't worry about it," I muttered eyeing him carefully.

"How would you like to have dinner with me tonight?" He offered.

"Oh, not a good idea," I shook my head.

"Look, Oliver. I don't know what's up with your random mood changes and everything but having dinner is a bad idea. You’re my teacher, it's illegal," I told him with a frown.

"It's not illegal, it's unethical, and like I said before if no one knows there isn't a problem," he shrugged.

"Illegal or not, you will still lose your job," I informed him.

"And, you care if I do?" He asked stepping closer to me, amusement in his eyes.

"I didn't say that," I protested stepping away from him. "And, what if I do tell? It's not that big of a deal."

His face went hard. "It is that big of a deal."

"I don't want to know anything. As far as I'm concerned last night didn't happen. I want no part of whatev
er the hell you’re into." I scowled at him.

"You might be saying that but you could be lying," he smirked again.

"What do you want me to do to prove to you I won't tell?" I almost yelled. I was so annoyed. The more and more he went on about it the more curious I seem to be and it was starting to annoy me now. I really did want to know what was going on but it could be bad.

"Follow me," he told me and turned heading for the storage room that was to the left of the classroom. I glanced at the door a moment.

"I'll drag you back," he told me his mouth in a hard line.

"And, I'll scream. That's kidnapping, idiot."

I turned sharply and started for the door. Oliver snatched my arm instantly his grip was like iron clamped on my arm. I opened my mouth to scream and he pressed his mouth to mine. I gasp in shock. His lips were gentle and soft but also hard. He stared intently into my eyes. He pulled away a moment later.

"Now if you tell anyone I'll let everyone know you seduced me in my own classroom. Everyone will know your name and you'll probably not be able to show your face here again. Having an affair with a teacher? Shame on you, Ever," Oliver scolded shaking his head at me.

"It's your word against mine," I scowled.

"Yes, but rumors travel fast. Everyone will start thinking bad of you regardless if there is no proof or not. Kids can be quite cruel, even in college," he smiled.

"You’re an evil little monster," I told him punching him in the chest.

"Oww...” he rubbed his chest. “That actually hurt." He sounded surprised.

  "Good."

"So, Ever, dinner with me tonight then," he smirked. I mean it was just a kiss, my 'first' kiss, freaking jerk, but a kiss nonetheless. However, if it got out people would think badly of me. What if they kicked me out of college? I don't want people staring at me like I'm a tramp. I had worked too hard to get in this college for some jerk to get me kicked out just like that.

I grumbled at him and kicked him in the leg, "Fine."

"Wonderful, let's go right now," he told me walking over and taking his jacket.

"Why did you want me to go in the closet anyways?" I demanded.
